FALL SEASON SUNDAY BIBLE MESSAGE SERIES

WELCOME!

Our Church family gathers in the town of Harrisburg, Oregon. Our little town is nestled on the banks of the Willamette River, a community of 4000+ people in the "grass seed capital of the world"  (Linn County, Oregon). The town is agricultural in flavor, but we also have many folks who commute to work in Eugene or the Corvallis/Albany areas.

We're an hour from the Pacific Ocean and the Cascade Mountains. Portland is 2 hrs north, the California border is 3-4 hours south, and Bend is 3 hours east. We live in a great place to work, serve, raise families, live and enjoy God's great outdoors!

We are a family of God's people:
that means we are old and young,

all of us learning to recognize our propensity to run from God (sin), accept God's love, grace and pursuit of us, and see more and more what it truly means to love and live God's way without the confusion of trying to earn God's favor. And above all other things, we want to share that message of HOPE in Jesus with the world...here and around the earth.

YOU are welcome here with us!

SUNDAY WORSHIP

Currently we have two "in person" Worship Celebrations happening on

Sunday Mornings at 8:30am (EARLY: Traditional in Sanctuary Rm.) and 10:30am (LATE: Modern in our Activity Center Building)
These times are when we gather together to worship and praise the Lord in bigger groups. Make plans to join us for either gathering that suits your taste. Each of them feature inspiring praise and worship through music, warm fellowship, prayer together, celebration of The Lord's Supper (Communion) and a message from the Bible that is relevant to your life.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH is available for kids Age 3 thru grade 5. They will be dismissed from Worship to their age-group Adult leaders and spaces.

NURSERY CARE for infants & toddlers through age 2 is available in our Nursery/Preschool Rooms

SEE "EVENTS" page for any updated information about Sunday Morning Worships with HCC!

*LIVE STREAM of our LATE Sunday Worship gathering can be watched below on this section of our website and is also available on the Harrisburg Christian Church Facebook page  and YouTube Channel starting at 10:30am every Sunday morning. We encourage you to interact with the HCC family in the Livestream chat as well.

BIBLE MESSAGE SERIES

SUMMER/FALL Sunday SERIES!

    "ACTS: LIFE IN THE SPIRIT!"

Jesus' first followers are transformed from men and women deeply mourning His death, into a band of triumphant believers in a resurrected Lord! They are filled with His Holy Spirit; ready and willing to share the "good news" of Jesus, the Messiah, come to reconcile the world with the Creator!

The Book of Acts, penned by Jesus' follower, Luke, is the account of the early churches beginnings. It is full of their vibrant, incredible lives and experiences that centered on serving and loving the Lord and all people.

We hope this series of SUNDAY WORSHIP BIBLE MESSAGES will help us to live the way of Jesus with passion like these early  believers!

QUOTES of the Month

Charles Swindoll:  “When we study the journeys of Paul in the book of Acts, we’re not just reading the travel log of a man; we’re observing the redemptive plan of God unfolding as He promised. Through the ministry of Saul of Tarsus, God’s mission to reclaim His creation from the death grip of evil would move to its next stage. The plan of this mission was outlined in the Lord’s promise at His ascension, where He said,

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses.."

Brian Harbour: “When God’s people get serious, vested interests are often threatened. Those who do not want to rock the boat are shaken. Those who are hanging on to the past are disturbed. Serious commitment to Christ does not remove problems. Sometimes, as it did for the Christians at Ephesus, it increases the problems.”

David Jeremiah: “I’ve almost concluded that if you are not getting opposition in your work for God, then you may be doing something wrong! Whenever the world stops criticizing or opposing the church, we know we are no longer a threat and have stopped doing God’s work.”

VERSES of the Month
Acts 20:23-24

The Apostle Paul said:
"I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardship are facing me. However, I consider my life worth nothing to me;
my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me - the task of testifying to the GOOD NEWS of GOD'S GRACE!"
