We are blessed to have these wonderful facilities!
They are great "tools" for ministry.
The foresight of the early members of this congregation have provided not only land and buildings, but a spirit of "reaching out" to this community and beyond through the churches buildings, lands, and vehicles that the congregation of HCC now stewards.
OUR BUILDINGS:
"Sanctuary/Auditorium"
This part of our building facilities was constructed in early 1970's and is home to our Sunday Morning Worship Celebrations as well as Weddings, Funerals and other activities that prefer a "chapel" setting. It seats about 220 people comfortably, and has a center aisle with oak pews and platform appointments. Open beam ceilings and carpeted in a rich "loganberry" carpet, this room is comfortable for the "family" to gather for special times together.
The adjoining entrance modest foyer has restroom facilities and links to the Staff Offices. The main entrance doors face Smith Street and has a covered walkway from the transportation drop off area. The rear exit empties into a small courtyard area that connects to our Activity Center Building and side entrance to the Education/Fellowship Wing.
"Education/Fellowship Hall Building"
This portion of our facility began as the Sanctuary built in 1870! And that early structure is still standing and serving the Lord well. It was added on to in the 1940's when the rear portion was built and remodeled into a two story Fellowship Hall & Class room facility. It boasts a full service kitchen, Fellowship/Reception Hall, Nursery, Classrooms and Restrooms. This part of our building is used almost everyday by our congregation or the local community groups.
"Activity Center"
This is the newest of our HCC buildings and was crafted in 2003. It is a wonderful addition to our ministries and includes a full-size regulation High School gym size floor
with athletic appointments for both Basketball and Volleyball/Badmitton etc,. The beautiful hardwood maple floor, stage/platform area, exposed wood beam ceiling and rich color tones also make it a popular venue for Worship, Concerts, Dinners and other special events that require a larger area. It is fully ADA accessible and has restrooms with showers. It is a popular site for youth, children and adults of our congregation as well as the Harrisburg School District and community. We are blessed to be stewards of this great facility!
"The Parsonage"
This three bedroom home is located on our main property and has housed many of our Staff Pastors and families over the years. It is presently the home of our Youth Pastor and family (Daniel & Charity Buckley and girls).
"The Doud Property"
There is an older home located on this property we own that faces Territorial Street, adjacent to our main property. It is presently a rental house, with room for future expansion of our church facilities.
OUR VEHICLES:
The following vehicles help get the HCC family "down the road" to ministry and mission events! We are happy to have these wheels!
15 Passenger Dodge Van
22 Passenger Ford Transporter Bus
